Irish Cycling Framework urges unencumbered cycling

Ireland has published its first National Cycling Framework setting out a vision for boosting cycle use in the years ahead.

Helmets are not considered sufficiently important to be mentioned; rather the Framework states:

"There must be a clear message that cycling is a readily accessible form of transport, not requiring unnecessary encumbrances such as specialised cycling attire."
