Italian law proposal withdrawn

On 27th May the Transport Commission of the Italian Government cancelled an amendment to an urban mobility plan that would have made cycle helmets mandatory for children under 14 years.

The Commission had heard that 50% of cycling deaths involve people over 65 years of age and only 3% are children under 14.
