BMJ poll says no to helmet laws

In July, the British Medical Journal's website polled its readers as to whether it should be compulsory for adult cyclists to wear helmets. 68% of respondents (out of the 1,439 votes cast) said 'no'.

The poll was not a very scientific one - it was open to any visitor to the website - but it has triggered an interesting debate. Read the views of participants here.
